Mimi Steel: Occupy Oakland Seeds of Revolution Were Sown by Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Lee

All movements have a specific spark.  Mimi Steel, a Bay Area conservative activist and writer believes she was present when the fuse was lit for the violence an anarchy around the nation, an especially Oakland.

“The Townhall (on August 16 in Oakland)meeting was billed as a “Speak Out for Good Jobs Now” listening tour  (http://speakouttour.com/ ) sponsored by the Congressional Progressive Caucus (www.progressivecongress.org ) , to get input from us “little people” that they would take back to Washington so that they could give input to the ruling class about what the average citizen needs and wants from the government.  Appropriately it was held at the Acts Full Gospel Church and had all the markings of a revival meeting.   The high priestess of Progressivism, Nancy Pelosi, was in fine form presenting her understanding of how the economy works (Tax the Rich) which led me to believe that she either flunked economics 101 or never took the course.  She was followed by Barbara Lee  D-Oakland (Tax the Rich) who introduced Raul Grijalvia, D-Arizona.  As the co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Raul presented the “People’s Budget” which is full of stimulus spending to create good jobs (Tax the Rich).   Mike Honda, D-San Jose, invoked the question “What would Jesus do?” and the answer came back “spend money” (Tax the Rich).”

These are the revolutionaries–Pelosi, Honda, Grijalva and Lee–all want to end Constitutional protections and believe Washington is smarter and more responsible then the people of America.

They literally want all your money, and government will give you an allowance.  They believe that doctors are unable to make medical decisions, so the Federal government should decide who gets what medicine, if any, and who is too old to live.

They let loose, along with the SEIU and Van Jones, the dogs of terrorism on the streets of our nation.

Occupy Oakland Seeds of Revolution  Were Sown

Oakland Townhall Meeting on August 16, 2011

As I watch in horror the anarchy that is Occupy Oakland, my mind harkens back to the townhall meeting in Oakland that I attended on August 16. In that meeting Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Lee, and Mike Honda were sowing the bitter seeds of discontent and revolution.  This is nothing spontaneous.  This is a well planned and orchestrated effort from the “top” to stir up the masses at the “bottom” to rise up in rebellion so that the “top” has not choice but to come in and restore law and order with an iron fist.  Or say Van Jones would say “Bottom up, Top down, Inside out”.   But I digress…

The Townhall meeting was billed as a “Speak Out for Good Jobs Now” listening tour  (http://speakouttour.com/ ) sponsored by the Congressional Progressive Caucus (www.progressivecongress.org ) , to get input from us “little people” that they would take back to Washington so that they could give input to the ruling class about what the average citizen needs and wants from the government. Mike Honda, D-San Jose, invoked the question “What would Jesus do?” and the answer came back “spend money” (Tax the Rich).

The first hour of this “listening” event was taken up by the elected officials speaking for over an hour.  They were  inciting the crowd  and ginning up hatred with charges about the bad corporations, evil Republicans, and the greedy banks that caused the crisis (Tax the Rich).
Then they opened it up to get comments from the audience.  You can see a 4 minute video of the session here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HYyT0GJNdI ).  Here is a small sample of some of the highlights in the video:

1.    Best way to solve deficit is to tax the rich—a labor activist
2.    The real issue is we are in a class warfare—labor activist
3.    Making fun of Perry’s comment about corporations being people—Pelosi
4.    Create money for jobs by taxing the rich, the banks, the swindlers—labor activist
5.    Stop greedy big banks who created crisis—SEIU person
6.    Tax the rich to create jobs—Barbara Lee
7.    Tax the rich-citizen
8.    Growing gap in wealth in pay is an immorality—Nancy Pelosi
9.    Reverse look—take money from banks and give it to the public for jobs-citizen
10.    Democracy is not the most efficient form of government—Mike Honda, D-San Jose, CA
11.    We should learn from Germany, a socialist state, health care for everyone, great vacations-citizen
12.    Republicans have not sponsored any legislation for jobs—Barbara Lee
13.    Walmart employee who has a job claims he has no respect—quite an irony- the one guy who has a job is complaining about it-citizen

They stopped mid-way through the listening session to show this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yH3xFEYuqfs
Of the entire two hour session, they devoted approximately 30 minutes to hearing from the “little people”, although they did offer to stay and tape anyone who wanted to be taped giving a statement that they would send to Washington.  By the way, did I mention that Nancy Pelosi left the scene half way through the meeting ?  Obviously she had more important things to do then listen to the hardships of the “little people”
The bottom line is this.   We have elected officials who went around the country encouraging class warfare.  Now it’s here, the 99% vs the 1%.   The chickens are coming home to roast.  It’s no wonder that there is rioting in the streets of Oakland.  The seeds for this event were sown back in August and the politicians are sitting back to watch their handiwork.  They must be quite pleased with themselves.   The new world order is being born.  Didn’t they used to call this treason?
Oh, did I forget to mention….TAX THE RICH
