Who said communism is dead? Not the Occupier Gang.  Not illegal Aliens, not the nurses union, not the AFL-CIO, not ACORN.

On May 1st, the old Soviet Union national holiday of May 1, celebrating communism, the above groups are going to try to close the Golden Gate Bridge, entrances to New York City, hospitals, downtown Los Angeles and more.

“On Tuesday, May 1, thousands of people will mark May Day by gathering at 1 p.m. at Olympic Boulevard and Broadway for a march along Broadway to Temple Street, said Caroline O’Connor, communications director for the L.A. County Federation of Labor. Meanwhile, the grassroots Occupy L.A. organization is planning a concurrent march into Downtown that will converge at Sixth and Main streets at 2:30 p.m.”

Note the mainstream media has not put this story together with its historic significance.  Wonder why?

Immigrant Rights, Occupy L.A. Marches

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES News,  4/27/12

Get ready for traffic tangles in Downtown.

On Tuesday, May 1, thousands of people will mark May Day by gathering at 1 p.m. at Olympic Boulevard and Broadway for a march along Broadway to Temple Street, said Caroline O’Connor, communications director for the L.A. County Federation of Labor. Meanwhile, the grassroots Occupy L.A. organization is planning a concurrent march into Downtown that will converge at Sixth and Main streets at 2:30 p.m.

May Day demonstrations have become an annual affair since some 500,000 people flooded Downtown in 2006 to protest a controversial immigration law. Recent turnout has been closer to 5,000 people.

It is uncertain how many marchers will turn out this week. The LAPD is tracking the activities and will have a strong presence on the streets, said Commander Andrew Smith.

“If there’s anybody that intends to make a statement and needs to be arrested, we hope we can do that quickly and surgically so people can express their First Amendment rights the best they can,” Smith said.

On the website occupymay1st.org, the grassroots organization is calling on supporters to converge at 2:30 p.m. at Sixth and Main streets. At 5 p.m., labor groups and Occupy participants plan to gather at Pershing Square.

its an american holiday, it celebrates the mayday massacre and has nothing to do with Russia. Not even remotely. It’s a labour party movement, not communist. It celebrates the advances American Unions have made for the people- 8 hour workdays, women’s right to vote, minimum wage laws, etc. You’re not even in the right ball park. Where is your american

spirit? Looks like YOU haven’t put this story together with it’s historical significance, or even bothered to research before you wrote this article seeing as the internet is covered with information about the mayday massacre. WONDER WHY? And your wording is so obviously and with a complete lack of creativity biased against anything liberal. Take a writing class at your local community college (which you can thank socialist movement for providing) and while you’re at it, an American history lesson, too.
