San Fran Nan voted to cut $500 BILLION from Medicare and is now claiming she didn’t.
She has stated she would vote for the Simpson/Bowles plan to cut Social Security.
Now she is angry she got caught—but the Left for selling out Big Government.
“In an email to supporters of his group, Progressives United, Feingold — the Democrat who lost his Wisconsin Senate seat in 2010 — said Pelosi is the latest in a growing trend of Democrats who are wavering on defending Medicare. He even hints at a comparison of Pelosi with House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).
“Any Democratic endorsement of benefit cuts, even for political reasons, capitulates on bedrock progressive values and makes it easier for corporate Democrats to join with corporate Republicans to destroy these programs,” Feingold wrote.”
In the end all she, Barack Boxer and Feinstein want is to hold office and ride in the taxpayer paid for limousines. To do so she is even willing to sell out San Fran and the Left. Good for her, just another conniving hack in Washington.
Feingold: Pelosi wobbly on Social Security

Former Sen. Russ Feingold is going after House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for what he calls “a disturbing potential willingness to adopt a plan that could slash” Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security benefits.
In an email to supporters of his group, Progressives United, Feingold — the Democrat who lost his Wisconsin Senate seat in 2010 — said Pelosi is the latest in a growing trend of Democrats who are wavering on defending Medicare. He even hints at a comparison of Pelosi with House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).
“Any Democratic endorsement of benefit cuts, even for political reasons, capitulates on bedrock progressive values and makes it easier for corporate Democrats to join with corporate Republicans to destroy these programs,” Feingold wrote.
Feingold’s email comes after Pelosi said last month that she would have voted for the so-called Simpson-Bowles debt reduction plan, which critics say would hurt Social Security and Medicare beneficiaries. She said voting for Simpson-Bowles would be “not even a controversial vote.”
But Pelosi and other House Democrats have gone to great lengths to push back on Ryan’s Medicare reform plans and any proposal that would cut Medicare benefits. She led House Democrats in universal opposition to the House Republican budget earlier this year.
“I’ve spent my career protecting Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid from GOP attacks-nothing’s changed, I will continue fighting,” Pelosi tweeted on Thursday.
A senior Democratic aide was sharply critical of Feingold’s characterization of Pelosi.
“Anyone who questions leader Pelosi’s commitment to seniors and persons with disabilities, their benefits or these initiatives is either looking for a fight that doesn’t exist or just plain wrong,” the aide said. “Who led the fight against Bush’s Social Security privatization scheme? Who is leading the fight against the Republican-Ryan plan to end Medicare guarantee, reduce benefits and shift costs to seniors? Russ Feingold knows the answer is Nancy Pelosi and he should spend his resources going after those who truly want to dismantle these programs,” the aide said.
Previously, Pelosi has called the Simpson-Bowles plan a good set of “bones” on which to build a deficit-reduction plan.

Obamacare actually added $260 billion to Medicare via increased contributions by folks making over $250,000 — thereby strengthening it. Medicare advantage (which had been receiving an additional 14% in taxpayer funds in Order to compete) will have this extra funding taken away. Medicare does need to be made stronger. Anything is preferable to privitization
