Note when reading this article how many temporary jobs will be created by this infrastructure project.  It does not mention the number of jobs LOST due to high taxes to pay for this project.  Nor does it mention how many more jobs and projects could have been created if the State was not paying blackmail to unions to “keep the peace”.

Capital SouthEast Connector will create 5,400 jobs: report

The Capital SouthEast Connector is a planned 35-mile parkway that will span from Interstate 5, south of Elk Grove, to Highway 50 in El Dorado County, just east of El Dorado Hills.  It is estimated to cost $456 million.

Construction of a planned roadway between Elk Grove and El Dorado Hills will create more than 5,400 full-time temporary construction jobs and $310 million in labor income, according to a new economic impact study.

The study was conducted by the Capital SouthEast Connector Joint Powers Authority and Sanjay Varshney, producer of the regional economic forecast and Sacramento Business Review and dean of the College of Business at California State University Sacramento.

The Capital SouthEast Connector is a planned 35-mile parkway that will span from Interstate 5, south of Elk Grove, to Highway 50 in El Dorado County, just east of El Dorado Hills. It is estimated to cost $456 million.

You can thank Obama and Jerry Brown for these costs–this is the affect of Obamacare and Jerrys’ “Health Exchanges”–the alternative is easier–just fire $9.1 billion worth of Wal Mart employees to pay for the wrongheaded policies.

Jobs Cost by Taxes:
Also taxpayers will pay $9.1 Billion over the next 5 years to cover Walmart employee health care costs. They have almost 800,000 workers without health care coverage. Many of Walmart’s employees are forced to use Medicaid or just show up at an emergancy room. This kind of bullshit taxes us all by increasing the cost of healthcare for all of us!
