It is NOT the 'richest of the rich' who make up that small percentage that still approve of the Guv and the legislature! - it is the ILLEGALS and the rest who are sucking the life out of the PRODUCERS in this state! 2/27/2009: Reporting from Sacramento: More than 1 in 10 California workers were unemployed in January, the largest percentage in nearly 26 years, the state reported today. This is only the tip of the iceberg. The state government is not doing it’s job. When required to present a State Budget they presented a theft of public funds exceeded only by the Federal Government. For a while it looked like Governor Schwartzenegger was going to do his job and require them to present a reasonable budget. But he caved in when they gave him his cut of the swag. Only the simplest hind would believe that these people are working for the people of California. We have been given a tax structure that has driven industry (jobs) out of the state. These unemployed workers lost their jobs because the State Thieves Association (STA) has placed such onerous restrictions on manufacturing and construction that they are no longer profitable. In addition, we have a problem with law enforcement. They ain’t doing it. We say we want illegal aliens deported. They say “Oh no, we can’t do that it would violate their Constitutional Rights and besides it would cost too much money. First off any judge who says alien lawbreakers have constitutional rights is lying through his/her teeth. Second it does not cost as much to deport illegal aliens as it does to feed, house, clothe and educate them. Further, as it is with politicians, they are placed above the law. We are told we can’t imprison them unless they get all of the amenities or the Presidente de Mexico will be very upset with us and executions are out of the question. In other words if you want to be a “super citizen” give up your U.S. Citizenship and come back as an illegal alien. The crazy Americans will take care of you. I say “Presidente, Guard your own borders, if you can, or bury your dead. We can no longer afford them.

The reason that both petty and grand fraud are so rife in California is that we have no constitutional state auditor. Oh we have auditors, but they are not legally "independent" of the people they audit. Thus they cannot be completely fair and honest for fear that adverse comments will cost them their careers and even their jobs. We need to amend the state consitution to either create and independant office of state auditor, or graft the additional responsibility on the state controller. Larry Stirling San Diego

The problem we have as taxpayers is to get the dumbed down populice to understand what is realy being had upon us. I have heard so many people yelling at the republicans for being "In the way" of getting a budget through. Are these people nuts or are they just socialists or are they part of that socialist dumbed down populice. I tell them, read the darn bill if you want to know what the truth, that is if you can! My fear is that stupidity will reign again at the voting booth. Just look at history. We are not only fighting against the socialists but stupidity.

And I forgot to add, how much has Carson's population increased? Very little because nothign really new has been built there because most of the land is already developed. SO the services that all the people were getting 20 years ago was serving about the same number of people that ar being serviced today. So why did government have to grow so large. How did they service about the same number of people 20 years ago on less employees with no disruption in services. Mkae them answer that.
