““On November 8 and 9, the California State University faculty will send a strong message to the Chancellor that his priorities are off base. Once and for all, he must do what is best for students and the future of our public university system instead of making decisions based on keeping his management team happy,” says Lillian Taiz, president of the CFA.
However, the university management notes that since 1998, average salaries for tenure-track faculty have increased 33 percent for full professors, 32 percent for associate professors and 44 percent for assistant professors. The average salary for full-time lecturers went up by 31 percent during the same period. ”

I am amazed at the disinformation posted here. Faculty did NOT refuse to teach. These w.ere informational picketing actions. Classes were held. The strike coming up will take place at only two of the 23 campuses for ONE day. Please report facts. Wait, did you not go to college and learn proper journalism? Further, the strike is for previously AGREED upon increases that have never been paid.
