After every election the media declares either the Republican or Democrat Party dead.

After the 1964 election Republicans had 127 House and 32 Senate members, along with 11 Governors—they were dead. Today the GOP has control of the House with 235 members 45 Senators and about 30 Governors.

The media, to “save” the Republican Party, wants it to raise taxes, give benefits to criminals from foreign countries and kill off private sector health care. They wants Republicans to be like the Democrats.

An alternative policy would be for the GOP to educate the public about their lack of freedom, that government takes more than 50% of what they earn—and forcing the children into failed union run government schools.

If you believe the LA Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, the only way for Republicans to win again is to “compromise” on principles. For instance, the GOP is told that there is a case for same-sex marriage, the legalization of marijuana and illegal aliens, plus higher taxes on “the wealthy”

“The Conservative Case for Same-Sex Marriage

Former RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman writes in the Wall Street Journal:

“Some misperceive the issue of marriage equality as exclusively progressive. Yet what could be more conservative than support for more freedom and less government? And what freedom is more basic than the right to marry the person you love? Smaller, less intrusive government surely includes an individual deciding whom to marry. Allowing civil marriage for same-sex couples will cultivate community stability, encourage fidelity and commitment, and foster family values.”

Were the legislative Republicans in Washington to adopt this “modified: agenda” the public will love us. What are they smoking? This is a recipe for disaster.

This transparent effort to change values will not gain votes—instead the evangelical base will stay home and denounce the Republicans. Higher taxes? Those paying the new taxes will not donate to the Party that sold them out. Worse, those who lose their jobs because investors lost incentive to participate in the market place will be angry.

It seems to me that in the last fifty years the Democrats have had a simple policy. Divide the Republicans so they can not win. They want two, possibly three new Parties, to assure easy, cheap victories at the expense of families, jobs and freedom.

Try giving amnesty and a road to citizenship to criminals from foreign nations. That will put a lot of honest Americans out of work and increase welfare and government giveaway costs. Those who lose job folks to these folks “legalized” by government will be angry and lose the energy to vote—why vote for a Republican or Democrat if they seem to care more about criminals than honest hard working Americans? Would it even make a difference to go to the polls?

In England upwards of 120,000 elderly “die” in government hospitals each year. Die may not be the proper word—murder would be closer. Elderly and very sick patients have water, food, medicine and life saving procedures withheld. According to the British newspaper, the Daily Mail, family members need to come to the hospital to provide food and water, plus change the bedsheets—nurses monitor the patients, do not care for many of them. Of course, there is a massive doctor shortage. Here is the United States we will have a 52,000 doctor shortage by 2015—and 30 million more patients per ObamaCare.

The Death Panels have already decided NOT to provide life saving medicines for women with certain forms of breast cancer. Medicaid reimbursement goes down, so why should hospitals and doctors take special care of a patient—time is money.

It is tough enough to win elections. Until 1994 the Republican Party was a Democrat Lite Party—i.e. President Bush raised taxes and in 1992 conservatives had no trust in him and Clinton became President. Newt Gingrich gave the Party a real Platform—not hundreds of pages but ten easy to understand values—and we won, big time.

The lesson is simple—act like the Democrats and you are a minority Party. Provide leadership and values, we win. It is up to Boehner and McConnell, our Washington legislative leaders to lead—otherwise the GOP will go back to the 1960’s and 70”s—the Party of compromise and no ideas.

@yoonyoungjo, are you an American citizen? Your lack of proper english makes me think so. If not, you have NO skin in this game. We the People do! It is our hard work and earnings that are being confiscated to support the non-working in this country and we will fight to the death to stop it. Why don’t you go back to the banana republic you came from and stick your hand out there and see what you get back. Our Founding Fathers did not sacrifice everything for the Obama brand of statism, or for sloths like yourself to leech off the hard work of others.

I hope the GOP takes your tough stance seriously. Then the democrats can win back the House in 2014 and the president in 2016.

The GOP today is the party of no ideas and no compromise, just say no and everything will be fine. Great plan. Sounds like the Whig party of old.

I am thinking Hillary Clinton will run in 2016. Who the GOP got left? Won’t matter. I see a 70/30 run for the democrats in 2014 and ever greater margins in 2016. The GOP can hold their conventions in the back room of a Denny’s in Texas and keep nominating the same old Inquisitors.

Good Luck!! Keep fighting to keep the GOP the same as it is today. We are rooting for you.

your a fool, and every GOP member is a fool. I hope the GOP tries and block Obama again. Because I promise in 2014 the voters will let them all know what they think of them and their pledge.
