Only 13% of Americans are forced to pay bribes to work. Yet this very small minority—forced into the class—control States like New York, Illinois and California—own them. They own the White House and the United States Senate. In many places in California if you want to bid on a government contract you have to hire only bribe payers, union “members”. This is called a PLA—Project Labor Agreement. That is where the unions own the city council through campaign donations and the council rewards their owners with sweetheart contracts—the cause of the California fiscal collapse.

Now, they believe there is a recovery, so they want to get more—even if it means taxes go up. Why hasn’t the mainstream media published a story on the craziness of the union strikes against their friends and neighbors?

Editorial by Stephen Frank: Heat Gets to Bay Area Unions—Strike Crazy As If We Were Not in a California Depression

Stephen Frank, Editorial for the California Political News and Views, 7/1/13

Guv Brown has been touting that he signed a balanced budget—forgetting the $127 billion deficit the State Auditor says we have as a burden. Jerry goes on the air, sends out press releases claiming the good news as if he is on happy pills, to ignore the facts. It also needs to be noted that hundreds of billions in unfunded pension liabilities are on the books as well.

The unions, which own the governor and the legislature truly believes the balanced budget canard, so it is not surprising that are demanding higher wages, to pay less for pensions and health care, and work conditions where they barely have to work.

Today, the people of the Bay Area of Northern California are facing getting to work, without the BART system they paid for with tax dollars—and 75% subsidies for each rider. They will be forced to telecommute, ride bicycles, drive cars or just take an extended weekend. This is a strike that could last for days, weeks or months. Not that government, owned by the unions do not want to give the sweetheart deals, it is just that the money is not available—without tax increases.

Sadly, the folks in the north that voted for Arnolds choo choo train, now recognizing it is an expensive scam for unions and crony capitalists, will probably vote to impoverish themselves more on the altar of “public transportation” to save the planet, while killing families.

Then you have the union running/owning State parks in the Bay Area. They want more money, better benefits and less work. So, they are planning a strike on July 4-5. Poor and middle class families that do not own a home in Sun Valley or Tahoe, want to go to a lush park for the holiday. Instead, the unions are threatening to shut it down. Prediction: if the impasse is not resolved by September, expect the unions to close down the parks for “Labor Day”. This is about power and control, not a contract.

The unions that control Sutter Memorial Hospitals in Northern California periodically close the hospitals, harming patients, the young and elderly. The nurses are telling the owners and administrators of the hospitals and the patients—we, the union determine if anybody gets care, at what level and when, so stop trying to set rules and regulations for the benefit of quality health care—you are here to serve us.

Then you have the unions in Oakland that will close parks and libraries today, July 1. They claim they are upset with pay and benefits. The real reason is that the city has fired hundreds of unionized police—replaced with State Police patrolling the city, the murder capitol of California. The city is bankrupt and can not afford the 50% increase in pension payments without firing more employees, providing less needed services.

The unions have bought the Guv Brown balanced budget Kool Aid. They forgot that to “balance” the budget, Jerry had to forget about $127 billion in deficits, pass Prop. 30 to get $6-7 billion more in revenues steal $500 million form Prop. 39 revenues and $500 million from cap and trade auctions. Brown, who appears to be confused, spoke about the $96 billion spending plan for the State.

The $96 billion is the General Fund, NOT the budget for the State. According to State Senator Bob Huff, the TOTAL budget, money spent by Sacramento for fiscal year 2013-14, is $230 billion—highest in history.

Any wonder the bribe payers are willing to strike the public, close our parks, libraries and government transportation system—they believe the numbers given to them, that money is available for raises, better benefits at less cost, are accurate. So why not demand, through harming fellow citizens, for a better sweetheart contract?

At what point does a liberal forced to drive to work, in their language “killing the planet” get tired of bullies, extortionists and blackmailers running government? They can start by voting NO on bonds and tax increases. Then they need to look at the incestuous relationship between council members and unions. California is in a Depression thanks to the Obama Economy—temporary and part time workers, with low pay and no benefits. This will collapse the State fiscally. At that point will the people of California go the route that the people of Wisconsin did? In that State they ended the practice of government sanctioned theft from workers paychecks by monopoly/mandated unions.

Allow freedom and all workers and citizens are financially enabled. Keep the current system and everybody loses. Looks like the Bay Area strikes could wake up California to who owns and controls government. This could create the Wisconsin revolution in our State.
