While some in the Republican Party are backing Democrats for office, while some are using GOP money to elect Democrats, the Tea Party is being productive and positive by sponsoring efforts to end illegal and costly taxes. While some in the Republican Party use social media to smear others in the GOP, the Tea Party is trying to save families and jobs by opposing Democrat tax increases, fees and increases in water and energy rates.
Isn’t it time that the Republican Party start promoting policies in an organized fashion that help families and create jobs? I am pleased to see the Pasadena Tea Party, known as TEAPAC, standing up and instead of using their efforts to drag others down, to bring up the people of Southern California.
“Meyer agrees and argues that “Citizens have no choice but to reduce the government’s revenues and force them to manage with less. That’s why TEAPAC has developed this new “Tax Revolt Program” and set up a new committee called the California Tax Limit Committee for the specific purpose of tax repeal and reduction. Eliminating a city’s utility tax will typically reduce annual revenues by three to ten percent. Given the bloated nature government spending, managing with ten percent less revenue should be achievable even with below average leadership.”

TEAPAC’s “Tax Revolt” Programs files notice of intent to repeal utility tax in four cities

HEADLINE: TEAPAC’S “TAX REVOLT” PROGRAMS FILES NOTICE OF INTENTIONS TO REPEAL UTILITY TAX IN FOUR CITIES
PASADENA, CA SEPTEMBER 19, 2013 – TEAPAC’s “TAX REVOLT” began last week as local Tax Limitation Committees successfully filed separate “Notice of Intention” to repeal utility taxes in Glendale and South Pasadena. Next up are the cities of Arcadia filing on 23rd and Pasadena on 26th. TEAPAC’s President Mike Alexander and Executive Director Jim Meyer have formed a parent committee called the California Tax Limitation Committee (CTLC) to assist local citizen groups in forming their own tax limitation committees. To date, committees have formed in Glendale (GTLC), South Pasadena (SPTLC), Arcadia (ATLC) and Pasadena (PTLC).
Alexander stated that “After years of observation and evaluation TEAPAC leadership has concluded the obvious: The only way to reduce government is to reduce government. It’s apparent to any fiscally conservative American that government – at all levels-is not going to fix itself. It has neither the inclination nor the political will to curb its spending or reduce the heavy tax burdens it has imposed on its citizens and business owners.”
Meyer agrees and argues that “Citizens have no choice but to reduce the government’s revenues and force them to manage with less. That’s why TEAPAC has developed this new “Tax Revolt Program” and set up a new committee called the California Tax Limit Committee for the specific purpose of tax repeal and reduction. The CTLC plans to form local TLC committees in all of the 48 cities in Los Angeles County. This represents over one billion dollars of potential tax relief to over 7 million residents and businesses.
Anyone interested in forming their own committee or joining in the tax revolt should contact TEAPAC. The CTLC is actively recruiting signature gathers, phone callers, city facilitators, web designers and content writers. TEAPAC can be reached in Pasadena at (626) 792-1772 or by email to hq@teapac.net.
